Teatr Ósmego Dnia will present their powerful production “A Lost Dream.” The piece is dedicated to all the outcasts of the world – the starving, the unwanted, those deemed unworthy of life, the so-called human waste and burdens to a “healthy” society. With this performance, the company aims to bring to the streets the characters and situations drawn from the writings and notes of Franz Kafka.

Teatr Bazar from Ostrów Mazowiecka will present “The Baltic Story”, a holiday tale about a young couple on their honeymoon in a caravan by the Polish seaside. It’s a light-hearted marital comedy set in the spirit of the 1980s, performed in the open air.

This year’s edition will be crowned by the “Steampunk Parade” by Teatr Gry i Ludzie from Gliwice. At the heart of the parade is a mechanical fish-like submarine – part bathyscaphe, part fantasy – pulled by a steam-powered tractor, accompanied by a three-wheeled penny-farthing. The vehicles are joined by stilt walkers and ground performers in imaginative steampunk costumes. The experience is brought to life with music played from devices built into the vehicles, sound effects, horns, smoke, and colourful lighting. The actors actively engage with the audience throughout the parade.

Making its premiere at the festival, Teatr Snów will perform “The Conjuror”, the story of Jasza Mazur, a gifted illusionist who travels from town to town with his assistant. In addition to his many tricks, he has the remarkable talent of unlocking doors – an ability that earns him the admiration of petty thieves. Women are drawn to him, and he enjoys their company. Jasza is preparing a daring act: a somersault on a tightrope. He also dreams of soaring into the sky using wings his very own flying machine.

will present “Golem Godula”, a performance inspired by the life of Karol Godula – a figure shrouded in myth who lived at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Rumours swirled that he practised alchemy, consorted with the devil, or perhaps was the devil himself. Adults would use his name to frighten children, while secretly fantasising about the fortune he was said to have hidden in the mines.

The festival’s accompanying events will take place across the squares and streets of Warsaw’s Ochota district. Locals can enjoy a variety of family-friendly attractions, including circus workshops and “Circus in a Suitcase”, a lively juggling show by Pracownia Cyrkowa featuring diabolo tricks, acrobatics, and a comedic unicycle act.
The Spanish duo Roi Borralla and Guillermo Balagans will perform their circus piece “La Bella Tour”, while Italian artist Andy Spigola brings his whimsical clown show “Boato”. The Polish group Modern Duo will present “Under the Pear Tree”, an imaginative performance featuring a theatrical caravan. Also featured in the programme is a concert by the Warsaw Improvisers Orchestra, rooted in the principles of free improvisation.
